A NEW mRNA VACCINE

HELPING YOU DECIDE

Is a PhD for you? And if so, what will you encounter?

Although this is such an important decision, there is often little guidance available.

Our commuincations officer compiled experiences and tips from students and Professors from all over the world.

Here are 3 things you must know.

WHEN EXPERIMENTAL DATA ISN'T ENOUGH

Originally described in the 1880s, its association with homeopathy led scientists to ignore experimental evidence.

The idea that low doses of a harmful agent can produce beneficial effects may explain how many natural compounds exert their effects.

Yet, it took more than 60 years for scientists to adopt hormesis into the scientific lexicon, and many regulatory bodies still do not recognize it today.

Relatively small effect sizes of 30–60% and its challenge to established pharmacological concepts continue to make hormesis a subject of debate.

Read a truly fascinating story of a rejected biological principle.
